For those that are proud of their vintage vinyl collection, you may be interested to learn, it is likely that some of your records would have been manufactured at The Old Vinyl Factory.

The Old Vinyl Factory was formerly occupied by The Gramophone Company who established the 1901 record label His Masterā€™s Voice (HMV), adopting the iconic logo we know today. The Gramophone Company later merged to form renowned music company EMI Music in 1931. We canā€™t mention the area without a nod to AlanĀ Blumlein.Ā BlumleinĀ contributed to the development and invention of electronic stereo sound, the origins of the speakers that you may be using can be traced back to this scheme.

One Vinyl Square is a 134-unit residential block which is helping to deliver much needed homes.

Fortis provided the coordination and design of multiple types of steel masonry support induced by the compounding effects of changing faƧade set-out. They had to accommodate not only the standard super-structure movements one would anticipate, but balance this with the behaviour of bricks as they turn through geometry.
