Rozelle Village reimagines the former Balmain Leagues Club site founded in 1908. A location of historic sporting significance within Sydney’s Inner West which has been subject to years of stalled development resulting in dilapidated habitat and living space.
The scheme introduces three residential towers above a retail podium, which will house the new Balmain Leagues Club. The façades are defined by a strong use of masonry, referencing the suburb’s heritage fabric while reinterpreting it in a contemporary form. For the lovers of brick, note the corbelling to the curved and squared arches.
